This is the wording of the published legal notice for the election that resulted in the incorporation of the Taylor Lake Homeowners’ Association under the "Act 137" State of Michigan statute. The notice was published in the Northwest Oakland County Herald Advertiser on August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, 1972.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION
AND ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Act 137 of the Public Acts of Michigan for 1929, as amended, an election will be held within the territory below described on Saturday, September 2, 1972, to determine whether the entire territory comprising the subdivisions and lands below described shall become entirely incorporated under the provisions of said Act 137. Said election will be held at Rose Township Hall on Mason Street, Rose Center, Oakland County, Michigan, and the polls will be open from 7:00 o’clock A.M. until 8:00 o’clock P.M. of said day to permit all registered qualified voters to vote upon the proposition submitted. All persons who are freeholders of land within the below described territory are qualified to vote at such election. Persons qualified to vote may register at the home of CURTIS BELL, 18441 Pellett Drive, Fenton, Oakland County, Michigan at any time between the hours of 9:00 o’clock A.M. and 7:00 o’clock P.M. on the 26th day of August 1972 to the 1st day of September, 1972, inclusive, and at such other times prior to September 2, 1972, as the registration board may permit. The names and addresses of the persons comprising the registration board for such election are BETTY TRIMMER, 18437 Pellett Drive, Fenton, Michigan; JOYCE TARRY, 18417 Pellett Drive, Fenton, Michigan; KAREN BELL, 18441 Pellett Drive, Fenton, Michigan.

The subdivisions and lands to be affected by such election are described as follows:

All lots (except Lot 288) in McClatchey’s Taylor Lake Heights, a subdivision of part of the Southwest ¼ of Section 8, Town 4 North, Range 7 East, Rose Township, Oakland County, Michigan.

All lots in SUPERVISOR’S PLAT NO. 6 being the Southeast ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 8, Town 4 North, Range 7 East, Rose Township, Oakland County, Michigan.

All lands in the North ½ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 8, Town 4 North, Range 7 East, Rose Township, Oakland County, Michigan.

All lands in the North ½ of Section 17, T4N, R7E, Rose Township, Oakland County, Michigan, lying within 200 feet of the shoreline of Taylor Lake.
